Scranton Public Market
The Scranton Public Market (SPM) is located on the second floor, once the home of an antiquated food court. The space has now been redesigned with local vendors in mind. This space, part farmers market, food festival, and artisan street fair all rolled into one is a host to seasonal and community events, classes, demos and more. From live music and drinks on a Saturday afternoon to kids activities and holiday markets, the SPM has something for everyone to enjoy.
The SPM invites visitors in from the balcony level of the Marketplace at Steamtown, visible from nearly evert location within the building. Light floods the space from the atrium windows overhead creating and airy and open environment. Floor to ceiling windows along the back wall frame the Steamtown National Historic Site and a great view of the sunset each evening. The heritage railroad yard sits below a pedestrian bridge linking the market with the railroad museum. A popular foot path for families utilizing The Marketplace at Steam town’s abundant and convenient parking.
We offer affordable kiosks and a community of support fostering local entrepreneurs with a space to grow together. Wide plank wood floors, brick and reclaimed wood details throughout feel fresh yet timeless. The street lamp style lighting fixtures begin to glow just as the sun sets, creating a feeling of outdoor market streets. Each space is completely customizable and we invite you to express your unique brand.
